Department of Speech and Hearing
Overview
The Department of Speech and Hearing is involved in Identifying, Diagnosing and Managing individuals with Hearing, Balance, Speech, Language and Swallowing disorders across all the age groups. The Department focusses on routine Neonatal Hearing Screening, Communication Screening, Hearing Evaluation, Tinnitus Evaluation and Management, Hearing Aid trial and Recommendation, Aural Rehabilitation, Speech disorders (difficulties in articulation of sounds, voice problems, stuttering/cluttering), Language disorders( delay or deviancy in language development secondary to poor speech stimulation, autism spectrum disorders, IQ deficits, hearing loss and loss of speech secondary to stroke) and evaluating and managing swallowing concerns in pediatric, head and neck cancer and neurogenic disorders.
