Physiotherapy aims to reduce pain, improve movement, restore function, prevent disability, maximize the health, function and well-being of the patients using various exercise therapy protocols and physical modalities.
Department of Physiotherapy at TMA Pai Hospital offers various types of treatment options both in the form of in-patient as well as out-patient care, ranging from manual therapy techniques to electrotherapy modalities.
The department is well equipped with facilities like treadmill and laser therapy. Besides taking on a curative role, physiotherapist prescribe fitness and wellness-oriented programs for active lifestyle to prevent various lifestyle diseases.
This department offers services of high-quality clinical care by experts, who treat a broad spectrum of rehabilitation needs.
The physiotherapy service offered are related to neurological conditions ( stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease , peripheral nerve injury, facial palsy etc), musculoskeletal conditions ( chronic pain, arthritis, soft tissue injuries, muscle or ligament sprains, post orthopaedic surgeries, joint replacements , diabetic foot etc), paediatric conditions (developmental delay, cerebral palsy, down’s syndrome, autism etc),obstetric and gynaecological conditions (hysterectomy, pelvic floor dysfunction, antenatal, natal, post-natal etc), oncology (restorative, palliative care etc).The department provides care for cardiorespiratory conditions starting from intensive care unit to the wards along with pulmonary rehabilitation and cardiac rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists play role in rehabilitation of COVID positive patients.
Timings: 9am to 5pm (1pm to 2pm lunch break)-all days except 3rd Saturday, Sunday and MAHE holidays

The Physiotherapy OPD operates from Monday to Saturday between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm and on Sundays between 8.30 am and 12.30 pm
The department provides physiotherapy to all admitted patients in the hospital.
